Meet Simon
I'm Simon, a dad of two and the person behind Tilandra, a calm visual routine app for families.

In our own house we always struggled with routines. We got frustrated as parents, the kids got frustrated, and eventually we realised that our communication around routines could be better.
We tried a paper-based routine, but we live in a two-storey house, and nobody wants to walk up and down the stairs between tasks. It was hard to keep charts up to date and in the right places. So at the beginning of 2026 I built the very first version of Tilandra and ran it at home. It gave us a digital routine list on every device in the house, always up to date.
Then we saw a shift. The kids started following their routines on their own, without us asking. They could look up what came next, tick it off, and feel a real sense of accomplishment when they had finished everything.
I've spent more than 25 years working in technology, and today I work as a Chief Technology Officer. I've always believed that good technology should make life easier, not more complicated. That belief shapes Tilandra: the same layout every day, and no points, badges or streaks.
I've also kept it as simple and as low cost as I can. The free version works on one device with no account, and Premium, which syncs your family's devices, helps cover the servers that make that possible.
That's why I'm now developing Tilandra as an iPhone app, so other families can try it too.
I'm not a clinician or parenting expert. I'm a dad who works in technology and wanted to put those skills to good use.
Tilandra is in development and not yet available. You can read the guides or learn more or join the beta.
